JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Berks is currently accepting applications for Adjunct First Year Seminar (FYS) Instructors.

The instructor will teach a section of the Penn State Berks First Year Seminar course (PSU005).

The course covers transition to college, Penn State speak, student success and the Common Read.

Successful candidates will work to support our FY students and the FY program at Penn State Berks.

Classroom instructor is one hour per week plus additional programming events that are specific to support our First Year (FY) students. Successful candidates will work closely with the FYS seminar coordinator on course content and with the FY mentor assigned to the course.

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here .
